. Abington Council #6611 of the Knights of Columbus believe that a Catholic education helps produce graduates who can serve as leaders in our communities and our Church. This is why we give scholarships to seminarians and students at Catholic high schools and colleges.
Knights serve in local soup kitchens in Scranton and Tunkhannock, clean up the community in litter pickups, support Catholic radio, and donate to projects in the five churches we serve, including baptismal bibs, audiovisual equipment, and musical equipment.
Knights donate to a variety of community projects, including Abington Little League, the Our Lady of Snows Tiny Tim project, and the St. Francis of Asissi Soup Kitchen and serve as sponsors for our churches. The Knights also organize and conduct bingo games and sell hoagies and pizza at church festivals to support our parishes.
